My Email to Speaker Jon Burns
Dear Speaker Burns,
I am outraged that you had Senator Colton Moore arrested and demand that you immediately apologize, stop silencing conservatives, and start respecting the Constitution.
Your decision to have State Senator Colton Moore arrested for attempting to attend the Governor’s “State of the State” address—a constitutional duty he was elected to perform on behalf of over 200,000 Georgians—is a blatant abuse of power.
Banning Senator Moore from the State House chamber and now using law enforcement to silence him demonstrates a disturbing disregard for democratic principles and the rights of elected officials to represent their constituents.
Senator Moore has been a consistent advocate for transparency, fiscal responsibility, and standing up against political persecution—values I believe in and support. Your actions to silence and punish him are an affront to those values and to the voters who elected him.
As an American, I am deeply concerned about your blatant display of tyranny.
I urge you to do the right thing and immediately apologize, stop silencing conservatives, and start respecting the Constitution.
